"Safety is on everyone's mind these days.  I travel about 6 times a month, walking out to the parking garage in the evening was the part of travel I dreaded the most.  My husband used to have me call him when I left the terminal and would stay on the phone with me until I was safely behind the locked car door.  I know it sounds a little extreme.  That parking garage can be quite intimidating for a 110lb woman at 11:30pm.
